Hair: Menley has dark brown hair that can almost be considered black, especially in the winter time when the sun doesn't lighten it. It's naturally wavy, and she keeps it shoulder length most of the time. She's not a stranger to straightening it either to tame it at times.
Eyes: She has pretty eyes, and what many people call soul searching eyes. They are a blue grey in color, although sometimes they can appear to be a seafoam green shade. They are always light, no matter what, and hold all of her emotions.

Build: Menley is a very physically fit young woman. She grew up with a military father, and she worked on farms all of her life. She keeps herself in shape, and can fend for herself. She's not the tallest girl in the world, but don't let her size fool you. All in all, she has a healthy, athletic build.
General likes: Horses, hard work, starry skies, thunder storms, being alone sometimes, silence, going for a long ride, taking long runs or walks, succeeding, training horses, getting her hands dirty, showing she's as tough as the guys, the military, her father, and just being herself.
General dislikes: She hates fake people with a passion, annoying individuals, people who feel the need to be loud twenty four seven, swimming or anything to do with water, failing and or losing, when people think she can't do something because she's a girl, her mother, being taken advantage of, crying, bullies, swearing, people who think they are better than everyone else, and she's not a fan of junk food. Oh, and cross rap music off of her list. That's just awful.
Personality: Menley is an extremely care free individual. She lives her own life on her own schedule, unless that schedule includes a job. She doesn't always like being told what to do, but she knows she has to in order to make it in the real world. She follows orders well because of who her father is and what he does, and she listens to the best of her ability. However, Men is a free spirit, and she does go off sometimes when she probably shouldn't. She doesn't always tell anyone where she's going either, so some of her friends and family members get nervous. But that's just how she is. She can take care of herself because she's got skin that's as tough as nails. She was never raised to be a pansy, and she refuses to accept that lifestyle. She is what you would call a regular tomboy, and she doesn't let anyone forget that fact. She hates being treated like a woman who can't do any labor or anything that requires a bit of sweat and dirt. She'll get down and dirty with the rest, and she won't let anyone forget that. She works hard for what she has and she doesn't accept hand outs. If she can't afford something, she doesn't buy it and she doesn't ask daddy or mommy for money. They're back in California anyway. She has earned every single penny she has to her name and she has purchased everything in her name and in her possession. She wouldn't have it any other way.
The fiery, defiant side is what many people see. She has a sharp tongue and a short fuse, and she's not afraid to speak her mind. Menley will let you know when she thinks you're being a bit ridiculous, and it might not be phrased as sweetly as that. She doesn't swear, but she finds words to replace the curses. It's rather amusing to anyone who will listen to her. However, she'll throw a punch if you make fun of her, or even try to without asking questions. She's not saint, or girly girl, no matter what anyone thinks. Just because she's small doesn't mean she can't pack a punch, because she's not afraid of anyone or anything, although sometimes she should be. The girl isn't all mean though. She actually has the nicest soul when it comes down to things, and she'd do anything for anyone who proved they were worth her time and effort. You befriend her, and you'll have a friend for life. You'll also never find a person who is more hardworking than she is. She takes her work seriously, and doesn't slack at all. If anything, she takes on too much, and it shows sometimes. She can get exhausted and crabby, but she puts on a happy face when it comes to that. She's organized, so she can keep her stuff and her life together when it comes down to it. She can take a joke, despite popular misconceptions, and she is fun to be around. Get some alcohol in her and you'll have a great time. But she's not a drinker, and that's a bit difficult. However, she is a nice person. She just hates being pushed around, so she'll push back. She wasn't handed anything in life, and knows it's a lot of hard work. She takes things seriously.
History: She grew up in a world that wasn't right for her at all. Her mom came from a rich background and family, and never wanted for a thing in her life. She ran off with the military guy, and was head over heels in love with him. His name was Thomas Adams, and Yvonne Shelly wasn't going anywhere without him. The two fell in love quickly, and they never fell out of it. In Menley's opinion, you couldn't find a more awkward couple. Where her father is strict and disciplined, her mother is wild and crazy, except when it came to her daughter. The two married after a year of dating, and Menley came exactly nine months after that. Yvonne couldn't be happier. She had a little girl to dress up in dresses and bows, with all of the frills and the jewelry to boot. Tom was just happy his baby girl was healthy and happy, and in a world that would keep her safe.
However, as Menley grew, it was obvious that she and Yvonne were going to butt heads. While Yvonne wanted her daughter to paint her nails and have tea parties, Men found it much more fun to play in the dirt and wrestle with her father. Tom encouraged Menley to be whoever she wanted to be, but her mother was different. In her eyes, her daughter was beautiful, and she entered her in pageant after pageant. Menley hated it, and finally had had enough when she turned fourteen. She lost it after her mom piled layers of make up on Menley's face. She ripped her dress right off and marched out of the dressing room in her bra and underwear. From then on, Menley had made a name for herself in the beauty world. And the judges made it clear she wasn't allowed back. Her mother was devastated and embarrassed, but Menley was relieved. Her father found it amusing, and that struck up an argument between mother and father. Menley continued revolting, especially when her father had to go off to his assignments. It left Menley alone with her mother for a good year or two at times. It was painful and torturous, but Menley made it just as difficult for her mother. She became involved in sports and ranch work, making it hard for her mother to tame her. Men loved it that way, and she made certain her mother paid for what she had done to her in her early years.
As soon as she turned eighteen she was out of there. Her mother was never happy with her after what she did during that pageant. Menley was free though, and she took advantage of it. She moved out of the state as soon as possible, with her father's blessing. He's in Iraq even now, and she misses him terribly. She keeps in contact with her mother to make sure she's alright, but other than that she's pretty much on her own. She's bounced from ranch to ranch making a living, although she's ready to settle down in Westin. It's the perfect place for her, and it's where she wants to be. She's been working on ranches all of her life, and has been riding all of her life as well. She was born to be in the saddle, and can handle herself extremely well. She's trained horses upon horses for ranch work, and is currently looking for a job with hopefully that in mind. Her plan is to apply at Silver Stag Ranch. She's ready to be settled, and hopes that this place can help her with that. She's not afraid of real life, and makes that known to anyone who doubts her. She doesn't take any crap from anyone, and her tough exterior is only helped by her tough personality. She doesn't let anyone push her around, and she isn't about to now. She's ready to be on her own, and she won't tell anyone differently. It's just her, her dog, and her horse. And that's good enough for her. So in her opinion, it better be good for everyone else.
