Daa'bu let out a shrill neigh, his tail sticking straight up. He looked like a miniature Arab, flinging his head up to show his displeasure of sharing his space with the puppies. Minni, on the other hand, was nuzzling the puppies greedily, as if they hid milk somewhere on their soft, fluffy little bodies.
Jake's dark eyes hid an anxious look. He knew he'd have to find out the two new horses' personalities, as well as the puppies. Plus, he had to figure out what to do with Deheya, who was currently pacing her stall. A light sigh emitted from his lips, and his muscled, runner's body straightened. He was developing dark circles under his eyes, and his hair was sticking up every which way. [/blockquote]

Raine allowed Minni to explore the young puppy but eventually the small ball of fluff whined a few complaints as the larger animals forcably nudged him with her muzzle.
Oh sweet thing.
Raine said softly, standing up taller and holding Sky closer to her chest. The puppy quietened down once he was no longer crowded by Minni's heavy sniffing and he seemed to calm down, his little paw gently stretching out and his head tilting as his eyelids drooped. Raine looked up at Jacob with a smile of glee on her face. It was a wonder that she never showed her stress. Rai was like a little ray of sunshine that never dwindled. She always seemed to have something to smile about in even the most stressful situations. However Jacob seemed to be showing a lot of his stress and worry, although he tried to hide it. Raine cast him a glance and with the puppy still resting in her arms she took a few steps towards Jake.
She put her hand on his arm and looked up into his tired eyes.
Hang in there. You're bringing this place back to life. Give me Diesel and I'll set these two up in one of the stalls with a pile of blankets. They can sleep safe and sound whilst we go and work with the new arrivals?
Raine suggested, her bright blue eyes staring up energetically into Jacob's.

Jake nodded, a look of relief spreading over his face. Diesel didn't even squirm as he was exchanged to Raine, and Jake grabbed a pile of blankets, placing them in one of the smaller stalls. He took a deep breath, before turning to Raine.
Could you work with the stallion? He's an angel. As for the mare, she's quite jumpy, and may need some more muscle to work with.
Jacob let out a small yawn, leaning back against the wall of the stall.
I'll grab Lucy, if you wanna grab the stud, and we can take them into the indoor arena and let them stretch their legs. [/blockquote]

Raine took Diesel into her arms and the two pups seemed to exchange a few whines as she took them into one of the smaller stalls. Jacob had laid down a pile of blankets in a corner and Raine knelt down alongside the pile. She had one puppy in each hand and laid the pair down on the soft baby blue blankets. The huskies squirmed as they found each other and Sky rested his head on his brother's back whilst Diesel was all curled up with his nose buried under his paw. Raine kissed the top of their heads like she was laying a human baby to sleep.
She stood up and was about to walk out of the stall, her lips parting to say something but she halted. Jacob looked terrible in all honesty and she just had to smile. He was working himself into a hole but she let the cowboy do as he willed. She took a hold of his checkered shirt, leaning into him even as he spoke to her. Her eyes twinkled as she looked up at him and all the while he spoke.
Sounds like a plan.
She said, leaning in and kissing him softly. It was nothing too intense for the moment. In fact it suited it quite fine. Raine kissed the edge of his lips, his jaw and then her lips trailed all the way down to his neck. She rubbed his shoulder with her hand and then leaned back, her blonde locks falling over one shoulder. Her hand dropped down to take a hold of his.
Come on sleeping beauty. Let's go get those new horses.
She cast him a smile, her back turned to the open stall door as she waited on him.

Jacob rolled his eyes, but shut the door to the stall behind himself and Raine. His skin tingled from the kisses, and a small smile was formed on his lips. He grabbed a lead rope, and stared into Lucy's stall. She flung her head up, the whites of her eyes showing, but when Jake produced a peppermint treat, she seemed to forget her fear. She chewed the treat calmly, before slobbering it all over Jake. A loud groan emerged from his mouth, and he took a deep breath.
Clipping the lead rope on the mare, he made his way outside. When she spotted his truck, she shied, and Jake gently tugged on the lead.
We'll be in the barn, Raine. You shouldn't have any trouble with the stud. [/blockquote]

Raine left Jacob in the mare's barn and she moved off towards the other. She had some song lyrics sticking in her memory and she whistled the tune as she made her way through the large double doors. She headed down the aisle and the horses peered at her curiously. It seemed to irritate Rocko but she reached her hand out to him, let him sniff her palm and then she patted his neck. He grunted and went about some business in his stall whilst Raine went on to find the new horse.
Well hello there handsome.
Raine smiled, grabbing the lead rope and slipping into the stall. She introduced herself by holding out her flat palm towards him. The chocolate palomino waffled at her hand and then turned his curious eyes on her. She clipped on his lead rope and with a little encouragement and a click of her tongue, he stepped out of the stall and walked alongside her quite calmly. His ears flicked about curiously and even stopped by Roman's stall to sniff curiously at the gelding. She had to say that for a stallion this one was pretty damn calm. Rai patted his neck and then led him on towards the outside. There was a cold blast of air that whipped up his flaxen mane, as well as Raine's own golden hair. She led him through the snow covered ground and once she got to in the indoor arena she opened up the doors and led him inside, closing the doors behind her.
Rai led the stallion onto the outside track and he curiously lowered his head to the ground beneath his feet. There were flecks of snow on his hooves that trailed behind him whilst his flaxen tail whipped from side to side.
You curious boy.
Rai smiled, encouraging him to lift up his head as she brought him around the arena, allowing his long legs to stretch out but without tiring him too much.

Jacob watched as Skylar wandered into the indoor arena, his head held high and nostrils flared. His cocoa colored coat contrasted violently with his creme colored mane and tail, and his muscles showed under his taught skin. Lucy trotted up to him, nuzzling him, and Jake whistled his high pitched whistle used to call the other horses.
He wasn't surprised at all that Skylar was more willing to come up to him than Lucy, and he grabbed a lunge whip from the wall behind him. He cracked it, ducking just as Lucy's hind end came out towards him. He laughed it off, and watched as the two horses raced around the arena.
Raine, come here.
As the girl moved closer to him, Jacob wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close as he lowered his head, pressing his lips against hers. [/blockquote]
