Wyatt and Lily Parker are two of the main characters on this site. Two years ago Lily up and left. This plot includes the background story of their relationship and how they meet again. This is a lot of information so please be warned. But it is interesting. ^_^
Lily moved from San Francisco with her mother when she was fifteen. Her parents were divorced and her mother wanted to go back home to Nevada. Lily was fairly easy about the move, apparently looking forward to living in Nevada. Her grandmother owned a house in Westin and that was where they moved.
Lily and Wyatt met at high school. They were put together as a pair in english for an assignment and a friendship ensued. It took a month for Wyatt to muster up the courage to ask her out and when he did, she said yes. They were high school sweethearts until the end of high school.
Lily was a quiet but friendly girl, only ever really speaking up when she was with friends. She had a well-toned build but was not a very skinny girl. She was bright, getting a range of A's, B's and C's in her classes. Wyatt was the same. He had to get good grades in order to stay in the schools small football team. There were often tours that took them out to neighbouring towns to play. He wasn't the skinniest guy nor was he the the buffest but he was attractive. He was mostly shy but he spoke up during classes, stirring a bit of trouble every now and again but not anything extreme.
They both attended the same college but it was out of town. It lasted only three years and they were back in Westin, enjoying a ranch life. They got married as soon as they were out of college. They stayed on Silver Stag Ranch. Wyatt had taught her how to ride back in high school and went on to take her with on cattle drives, teaching her the ways or ranch life slowly but surely. Wyatt's father, Elijah, gave him half the rights to the ranch. He was preparing his son to take it over entirely when he was ready. Beauford had been Lily's horse when they went out on cattle drives and such, and for her 23rd birthday he was given to her as a present.
They had a daughter together and named her Katy after Lily's mother. Her mother moved to another town in Nevada along with Lily's grandmother to get her better medical care at an old age home. Three years down the line Katy turned three. Soon after Lily up and left. She had suffered depression after Katy's birth. It seemed for a gap of a few months that she was getting better but then she steadily declined again. The last time Wyatt saw her was when she was standing opposite him in the kitchen. She had her hand on the doorknob and a suitcase in the other hand. She told him she'd leave Katy with him because she couldn't handle taking care of anyone else. Wyatt said nothing and she left. For a few months afterward he was difficult to deal with, working harder than usual. Then out of the blue he changed and appeared to be his regular self. People believed he was dealing with it badly but he wouldn't take their advice.
This is the plot itself.
Its two years down the line and Wyatt has picked up the pieces. Katy has turned five (Changed back to five years old and is turning out to be a perfect combination of both her parents. Its all normal until Mandy confronts Wyatt about seeing Lily in the bar the previous day. When he returns back to the ranch he finds Billy, Lily's cousin, in the bunker with Lily. Instead of having something to say, like he usually would in that kind of situation, or get angry, Wyatt turns and leaves after slamming the door shut. Lily follows trying to explain herself and he lashes out at her. He's never been this open as he spills out what he's feeling to her and she's shocked.
Billy talks to Wyatt and convinces him to let Katy see her mother. When the two meet its a happy reunion with Katy as talkative, energetic and excited as ever.
Lily and Wyatt speak to each other again when she enters the stables and he's there with Hero. Lily's old music is playing in the background and he admits that he plays her music just to remember her. She asks about his father and he informs her that Elijah died of am anurism (Changed - use to be a heart attack) and the ranch was left in his ownership entirely. She tries to touch him but he turns away and takes Hero out to the paddocks.
Billy, Carl, Lily, Katy and Wyatt are sitting around a bonfire. Wyatt is the only one who's not talking, occasionally saying something when spoken to. He takes a walk back into the house and Lily follows. He doesn't say anything to her but she makes him turn around and they kiss. Its passionate and heated but the two separate, Wyatt having stepped away.
Slowly through different encounters the two of them begin to rekindle their relationship. When Lily violently chokes up blood she's taken to the hospital, only to discover that cancer is eating away at the lining of her stomach. She has surgery and it is removed, with Wyatt showing her compassion and devotion that he hadn't shown her since she returned.
Just between them...
-Wyatt is the only one who calls her "Lil".
-Lily always used to drag him to Tabby Rocks where they would spend the night lying on their backs star-gazing. She'd talk herself into a frenzy and Wyatt would listen, laughing and listening to what she had to say.
-Wyatt used to bring her breakfast in bed, often with a sticky note that had "SHMILY" in bold capital letters. "SHMILY" stands for "See How Much I Love You".
-Wyatt would serenade Lily with his guitar, right up until she left.
Where did Lily disappear to?
Lily stayed out of Arizona, finding help at a rehab center. She was out of it after a year and a few months, but it took a while before she felt she was ready to face the little town called Westin and the people in it.
