St. Catherine's Asylum has been opened and closed then re-opened a record number of times. Each time it re-opened, it would remain open for longer. One of these times, in the year nineteen ninety three, it looked like it was going to remain open for a period of more than five years. but then a tragedy occured. One of the doctors that spent his time there, he murdered on of the patients, he said that he was defending himself. But all evidence prooved this wrong and he was sent to jail, for life. That was the last time it was opened.
But now, in the year two thousand and nine, it has been re-opened under new management. It looks promising. St. Catherine's has been open since the start of the year and already has many patients and staff. Obviously people think that it is alright and will keep sending people there and spreading the good word about the asylum. hopefully it can stay open for many years to come.
