Personality: Anthony has been shaped for discipline his whole life. For that he did well in the army, suffering very little when it came to their gruelling routines. You can depend on Anthony to be on time if not early and do things with precision. His discipline does not account for his appearance when at times he is dressed messily.
Before the army Anthony could be quite care-free but now he suffers from anxiety. The nightmares have gone but the trauma is still affecting him in other ways. He has triggers that set off his anxiety or memories that will see him through a few days locked up in his room at his parent's house.
Anthony is an otherwise friendly person and can show no signs of his troubles. He has a need to make other people relax around him and laughter is his best treatment. However he prefers to be a part of a crowd rather than the center of attention. That excludes his part-time job working as a bar tender when he is showing off his tricks he learnt in New York.
Even with his good nature Anthony can hold a grudge. He gives honesty and expects it in return. Tell him a lie and he will know. With that trait Anthony makes for a good lover. He does not ask for too much attention but can give as much as another person needs. He can also be romantic but don't expect poetry, he finds other ways to make a moment special. He cares and it can be said that Anthony wore his heart on his sleeve. As many other things changed before, during and after New York, so did Anthony's ability to love quite as easily as that.
History: Anthony was raised more by his grandmother than his own mother. She had had him at an early age and always lacked whimsicality. She had a way of keeping her son at arm's length. Despite this Anthony never held a grudge against his mother for the way she raised him. If there is anything he has learnt it is that just because people don't love you the way that you want them to, doesn't mean that they never loved you. Suzanne, his mother, is a strong woman who believes strongly in raising a child strictly. She had routines and chores that she set out for Anthony and he was to follow them come rain or snow.
Anthony's father taught him all of his intellectual habits, such as doing crosswords, rubix cubes and trivia. He was a quiet man and allowed the women in their lives all the room they needed and never took time for himself. It was with his grandmother that Anthony learnt wise lessons and further disciplines that enhanced his control over his mentality and control over his emotions.
Anthony learnt strong work ethic with Wyatt Parker during his on-and-off work at Silver Stag. He took particularly to Jump Scat and often takes the mustang out for rides. Anthony's family had never owned horses and never intended to, so he owes all that he knows about horses to Wyatt.
With all of that discipline and strength in himself it was no wonder that Anthony became enthralled with the efficiency of the army. It was against his mother's wishes but after finishing high school Anthony went on to sign up. He became a foot soldier but never progressed to anything above that. He enjoyed being in the field and the adrenaline that came with. It only became difficult when Anthony was deployed on short missions on foreign continents. He witnessed his friends stepping on a land mine, soldiers being shot and others suffering similar fates.
Anthony stayed strong throughout his duration in the army but the horrors affected him cruelly when he returned to Westin. He suffered mentally and on a whim fuelled by desperation he moved to New York. He spent many nights drinking all the hours away when the nightmares would hit him worst. His condition worsened until he met a girl.
Lee-Ann was no angel but she pulled Anthony out of his horrors and into the world again. He spent less hours drinking and their relationship developed. A year progressed and Anthony returned to Westin. He went quietly about his business and it was only revealed after two months that after Lee suffered a miscarriage at six weeks that she had returned to her home in Canada. The two parted mutually but Anthony showed obvious signs of mourning.
It was then that Anthony became grateful to his grandmother for all the stability she had given him. Despite his pain he was able to move on after everything that had happened. He grieved and then it was over. There are the aftershocks, after all Lee had given him normality but she had given too much of herslef and she needed her own back. Anthony has returned to his routine and although he's somewhat restless, he knows he'll find a better place than where he used to be.
