Wyatt had tended to feeding all of the horses that early morning around the stables and was replacing the plastic bucket in the tack room up at the barn. He fitted it into its space alongside the sealed buckets alongside it that kept the grain, pellets, carrots and such. He sniffed and then muttered a few curses under his breath. Last thing he needed was to get sick. Wyatt pulled his working gloves up more firmly over his hand, tucking it in underneath his jacket sleeve. After the previous nights stint in the rain it had snowed during the early hours of the morning. Wyatt only knew that because Gunner had the audacity to bark at the snow and wake up the whole ranch house at that early hour. Now the dog was tucked under a few blankets back at the house and pretty spoilt in Wyatt's mind, considering that Wyatt was out there in the cold. Then again he didn't seem to feel the cold quite as easily as his girls but that morning it was especially icy.
Wyatt had had to bring a newcomer out from the rain and into his bunker or else she wouldn't have made it all the way back to town. Goodness knows how she ended up at Silver Stag but she was there all the same and Wyatt couldn't help but wonder what the next step would be. Lily loved bringing in and caring for new people that needed help but Wyatt was a little more wary.
I'm staring out into the night, Trying to hide the pain. I'm going to the place where love And feeling good don't ever cost a thing. And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
Well I'm going home, Back to the place where I belong, And where your love has always been enough for me. I'm not running from. No, I think you got me all wrong. I don't regret this life I chose for me. But these places and these faces are getting old, So I'm going home. Well I'm going home.
Wyatt had left the barn and was walking over to the bunker. There wasn't much snow on the ground at that point but it was bound to collect as the day went on. There were clouds overhead that threatened to spill more rain over his ranch and all the horses were skittish. They were jumping around in their stalls and fussing, but that was the younger ones. The more experienced ranch horses were quite content to stay standing, quite warm with their blankets on. Wyatt adjusted his hat as he took the last few steps to the bunker then turned the handle downwards, using his weight to push the door open. Carl was already out grooming horses but he said that Billy was still at the bunker. Wyatt walked in and to his left he saw Billy's shape on the bed. He walked on over and pulled the blankets straight off of the ranch hand, throwing them onto the floor.
Wake up, you lazy hick.
If you didn't know Wyatt you might have thought that he was serious but when he saw Billy's sleepy face sit up in his bed he just had to laugh. The two were close enough, seeing as Billy was his head ranch hand, and in fact they were family. Billy was Lily's cousin. Wyatt looked up but wasn't able to see that any of the other bunkers were occupied by Sari.
Sari?

Sari had woken up at 5:30am, simply because she had always gotten up at that time at home. At first she had silently sat on the bed near the door for quite a bit, listening to Billy sleeping while lost in her thoughts. It was actually Carl getting up and going to work that had woken her up…
To Sari, the family that had allowed her to spend the night in there bunker, well she owed them, dearly... With a quiet sigh she rose from the bed to go see how her clothes from the night before were, she had done all she could to try and make sure that they would be dry... And of course since it had poured yesterday, her shirt and jacket were still a bit damp.
Why did things have to take forever to dry... Walking into the bathroom, Sari brushed the few knots that were in her hair as much as she could before throwing it up in a messy bun, truthfully it would just get messed up again later. Checking her Dark faded blue jeans again, Sari claimed that they were dry and took off the clothes bottoms she was wearing at the moment before slipping on the slimming jeans that she was so used to back on.
With a small, tired sigh, Sari looked into the bathroom mirror, noticing that she looked as if she hadn’t slept at all that night. She had, in fact slept; however, even she knew she had a bit of a restless sleep. Hearing someone entire the bunker she got extremely quiet, unsure of who had entered. It wasn’t until she heard Wyatt waking Billy up with a “Wake up, you lazy hick.” For the first time, Sari had to place a hand over her mouth in order to not be heard almost snickering. Once she heard her name being called though, she got quiet and with another sigh walked out of the bathroom. “Yes?” Her voice had gotten a bit clearer and back to how it usually was, clear as a bell. She figured she could trust these guys without worry, seeing as how they acted and found it to allow her to stay here. She stood quiet and tall, never having been one to slouch in her entire life. Sari wasn’t sure what Wyatt had called her name out for, but she guessed it was to see if she had skipped out on them after resting up or if she was still here.

Billy groaned and rolled over on the bed, his eyes just slits as he opened them to look at Wyatt grouchily.
"You felt how cold it is?"
The ranch hand sat up in his bed, mumbling out his complaints about his sleep-in being disrupted. Wyatt watched with a smile as his wife's cousin went about trying to wake up. It was by then that Wyatt had called out Sari's name and awaited a reply. He heard her voice first before he saw her but when he did Wyatt wasn't surprised that she looked like she hadn't slept.
I came to check up on ya. You feelin' better this mornin?
He asked, approaching her by taking a few steps forwards. By her voice he could have guessed that she felt somewhat better but her appearances spoke differently. Wyatt still had no clue about this woman but he figured that she would tell him if she wanted to in due time. He still had to find out if she had a place to stay. A lot of people that were in town didn't have a place to stay initially but for Wyatt this was a first just taking someone in "off the streets".
