Nicknames: Matti
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Nationality: Australian
Hair: Blonde, slightly curly

Height: 5'4"
Weight: 52kg

General likes: Matti likes music, any type is good enough though she prefers classical, reading, mostly older books by classic authors, stargazing, full moons, the ocean and day dreaming about a good life back home.
General dislikes: One of Matilda's pet peeves is Americans who think that just because they've watched Crocodile Dundee, they know everything there is about Australia. Other's include, dishonesty, inconsistency, hypocrisy, pollution and people who criticize before getting to know someone, or judge by rumors.
Personality: Rather quiet and reserved, Matti was always told it was best not to make a scene. She is shy and dreamy, often spending hours just staring into space, her mind wandering to places her body could never go. Matilda is curious and enthusiastic about everything. She's willing to try it all at least once. Stubborn and reckless, sometimes Matti doesn't think before she acts, and as a result either injures herself, another, or gets into trouble.
History: Born to Debbie and Evan Clark, a young couple straight out of high school, Matti didn't have all the nice things that everyone else did growing up. She was teased from a young age for her St Vincent de Paul, second-hand clothes and for carrying around a beaten old book all day.
When Matilda was ten, Evan was in a car accident. He was hit by a drunk driver on the way home from work and died on impact. Needless to say, Debbie was never the same. The once vivacious, strong mother had become an empty shell of her former self. Matti began to help out more around the house, doing washing and cooking when her mother was in 'a mood' as she called it.
This lasted for five years. When Matilda came home from school when day when she was fifteen, all was silent. She called for her mother, but there was no answer. Matti went to check in her room, only to find her mother sprawled on the floor, a near empty bottle of Wild Turkey in her hand and an empty pill container in the other.
The next two years were a blur. She was shuffled between homes every few months, until a wealthy old man from America decided her wanted a daughter. Matti was his first choice. The girl, who was now 17, was not happy. The man was a sleazy pig. Matilda kept her cool until her flight landed. After collecting her bag, she walked the opposite way, away from the exit, hopped on a bus and used the little exchanged money she had to get a ride to anywhere.
Three days of sleeping on the bus later, Matti arrived in Westin, Arizona.
Roleplay sample: Opal stiffened as they passed another vampire. As he walked away, she subtly glared at him. He seemed to see some of the Blake in her and backed off, hurrying down the streets. Opal gave herself a satisfied smirk. Her sire was one of the most powerful female vampires in the city, Zoey's own sire Elliott being a direct descendant of Leon Blackwell Dracon, the head vampire himself. Her family was powerful, and it showed.
Opal shook her head, "No, I live at the Blake Manor. Zoey told me that if there was ever an emergency, I should come here first. I figure this counts in some ways." Was it an emergency? Bailey was lost in a strange city with no memory, tired, hungry and probably sore from the blisters. It certainly sounded like one.
They passed the crowd of people lined up at the door, slipping into an alley on the other side. In the wall was a door saying 'Employee Entrance'.
"We're here," she said, unlocking the door. She swung it open and, unthinkingly, went to grasp Bailey's hand. As soon as their skin touched, Opal pulled her hand back, gasping softly at the strange shock. It kind of felt like static electricity. It sent her pulse racing, and she worried that he might have felt the temperature of her skin. "I apologize. I wasn't thinking." she muttered, backing into the hall, avoiding his eyes, "Come on, let's find Zoey."
Opal hurried down the hall, hoping that she hadn't frightened Bailey away. Would he still follow? Or make up an excuse to go somewhere else? Opal really wanted the former to be true, even if he was mortal.
