Personality: Bubbly. Callie is really one big ball of bubbly energy most of the time. Shes just an optimistic person a lot of the time. Optimistic, most of the time Callie has her head in the clouds because she loves to dream. She thinks that if people didn't dream then the world wouldn't exist because everything is built from a dream. She likes to think that since she followed her dreams to becoming famous that anything really is possible.
Protective. Callie is rather over protective of her friends. As in you hurt them she can and will hurt you twice as hard. She sticks up for her friends probably more then she should but she has a hard time sticking up for her self. Low self confidence. As happy and bubbly as she seems Callie has very low self confidence. She just feels the desire to have to be perfect all the time. So she makes sure that she stays thin and well groomed because she feels that every one is criticizing her.
Drink to sleep. Callie is a sweet rather innocent girl but she has developed a drinking problem. After her dad started hitting her after her 16th birthday she found that the best way to make her self fall asleep quickly was to drink as much alcohol as she could till she passed out. She has gotten into that habit and drinks rather frequently but she only does it at home by her self so she cant get into any trouble. Callie likes to live by the song This Ones For The Girls by Martina McBride. Callie thinks that its an inspirational song and it reminds her that shes good the way she is and she doesn't need to change for any one and that she can follow her dreams because any one can reach for their dreams.
History:Callie Ray Hale was born in a small town near Nashville Tennessee on August 12 1992. She grew up with her mom, dad and older brother Charlie. They were a very tight knit family and did almost everything together. Despite the fact that they lived on a ranch with lots of horses her dad was gone a lot because he was a music producer under a huge label in Nashville. Callie loved to go to work with him because she got to sing and learn to play instrumants and she met a lot of famous cool people. She was always going to work with him. That was where she learned from several famous Country and Pop and Rock singers how to sing. She was really good at it growing up, she was never expecting it to become her life.
Growing up Callie started entering singing competitions and when she turned 13 her father had her audition for a recording contract and she got it. She then auditioned for a spot on a TV show on Disney a year later. She got the lead part and it felt like her life was finally falling into place until she started getting sick. Her mood changed, she lost a lot of weight and started drinking tons of water. Her mom took her to the hospital and after doing a bunch of tests she was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes. It was hard for her because she was finishing up the first season of her TV show, releasing her first CD and going on her first nationwide tour. It was going to be amazing but she found managing her diabetes was getting harder and harder.
Callie got threw her first year, her fame sky rocketed and she was winning awards left and right and selling out concerts around the US. It was amazing but it was happening so fast. She stopped going to public school and started going to home schooling. Shortly after that they moved to Hollywood. Callie kept doing what she loved and things were going great in her family until her 16th birthday. She was having a HUGE party at Disneyland and she was flying her mom and brother in because they had to go back to the ranch to make sure things were going ok. They were on a little plane that crashed in a field in Texas on the way to LA. Callie found out the day after her birthday and she hated her self for it. So now she doesn't celebrate her birthday and she hates remembering that day.
After that happened her father became different. He wasn't loving any more and he got angry to the point where he would hit her. She hated it but she felt like she deserved it because she felt like her mom and brother's death was her fault. So she let him hit her but she needed a way to help her threw it. So she started drinking, she drank a lot and she drank till she fell asleep mostly because she was tired of crying her self to sleep. She was depressed all the time and wound up in the hospital after drinking to much one night and having to get her stomach pumped. That was when the bruises were discovered on her and she told the police the truth so they sent her to live with her Aunt. Shes still doing her music thing and acting thing but shes taking a little break. Shes going to lots of therapy and is on anti-depressants but she doesn't take them because shes pretty much back to her old happy self. Except for the fact she still drinks a lot.
Roleplay sample:Reflection Ranch, an institution for mentally ill teenagers. Since when was America's pop princess mentally ill? She just thought she had a problem not that she needed to be locked up with crazy people, it wasn't like Callie to judge or think she was better then every one else but being really made her think that. Especially since she had to wear the same tacky uniform as every one else, it was plane and to be perfectly honest it sucked. She was used to hot designer clothes and sparkles and flashy things not gray sweat pants, a black shirt and white shoes. And the fact that she had to wear it every single day was probably going to drive her crazy.
Today was Callie's second day and she all ready had a therapy session. She had only been to one of those but she stopped being depressed after it. She had gotten over her mother and brother's death and she tried not to think about it but the mood came up in her songs some times and it was part of the fuel to her drinking problem. But they weren't the cause of her eating problem. She had to much pressure on her to be perfect, every magazine cover, photo shoot, performance and appearance had to be perfect. She had to look good even going to the store because she knew the picture was going to be front page the next day and she couldn't have a bad photo. She remembered the day she started obsessing over her weight. She was reading a blog page and she noticed some one said she was looking chubby and that a few people agreed with her and for some reason that set Callie off into the down ward spiral.
She wanted to be perfect for every but she could never be good enough for her self, she hated how she looked in the mirror, she had a classic case of body dysmorphic disorder and anorexia. Now for a normal person it wouldn't be as bad, but it was really bad for her because she had a complication, she was diabetic. Diabetes and Anorexia were a deadly combo when done for long enough. And Callie figured that out, that was why she was trying to get help. It had been the day of one of her concerts and she was getting dangerously thin, during warm up she started feeling funny and thankfully before the stadium filled up, she hit the ground and started seizing. Her blood sugar had dropped below the danger point and it caused her to go into a diabetic seizure. She got rushed to the emergency room and was pumped with insulin and kept for quit some time because after that she hardly had the strength to move. They also found out about her drinking problem because when they went to check her room there were dozens of bottles of alcohol stashed under her bed. So she was turning into a stereotypical pop star. Anorexic alcoholic, perfect role model for kids right? That was one of the main reasons she wanted help, she didn't want to let any one down. No one knew she was here, they all thought she was on vacation and she planned to keep it that way.
She ran a hand threw her long light brown curls and frowned at the wall wishing there was a mirror there, she hated not being able to tell if she looked ok. She knew she was breaking the dress code but she didn't care. The legs of her gray sweats were rolled up to her knees and the waist was rolled down mostly because the smallest size was falling off her anorexic thin frames. Her hip bones were sticking out a little and you could feel her ribs if you touched them, she just looked to skinny for some one who was 5'6, then again she was only about 97 pounds. She was going to be forced to eat every meal but then shed probably try to throw it up when she had the chance but she figured shed be monitored after every meal. She rolled the sleeves up to past her elbows and wished she could see how cute she looked. Only she could make an ugly uniform look hot. She walked down the halls messing with her medical dog togs a little as she sat down crossing hugging her knees to her thin stomach as she shifted to make it more comfortable to sit with her omnipod on her lower back. When she got called she got up and walked into the Doctor's office and sat down on the chair with a small smile plastered on her face...The doctor had pretty eyes. She knew most of the people here were unhappy but she was usually a happy person and she was going to use that to get over her problems. It was her stepping ladder, along with her music.
