Parking her blue pickup truck, Kris pulled the keys from the ignition, flipped down the visor, and looking in the mirror. The day was almost done. Work was over, and she was tired. Elementary schoolers were a handful. Pulling the leather string from her hair, her wavy locks fell over her shoulders. There were a few braids, and beads here and there, previously hidden by her thick hair. Her blue eyes scanned her face as she fixed her eyeliner, and she reached for her wallet. Kris didn't carry a purse, it was a waste of space. Flipping the visor up, she looked around the parkinglot, before opening her truck door. She hopped out, grumbling at her feet, the small heals starting to hurt. She wasn't a fan of dressing this way. She liked to stand out... But this just wasn't what she normally had in mind. The blue blouse she was wearing made her feel so girly, and the grey slacks had her convinced everyone was looking at her butt. Sure, when she was in highschool, it was normal. She wasn't the best of kids then, and she might have slept with a few guys... But now? She was a proffesional. She taught children, staring at her like a piece of meat was just strange, and embarassing. She shook her head, making sure all of her hair was loose, and walked towards the doors of Walmart, looking for a loose cart she could snag before the got to the automatic sliding glass doors.

Word Count: 313 Status: Complete Lyrics: Hello Hello by SR-71
Justin dragged his fingers through his hair, grabbing a hold of the steering wheel with both hands and turning rather fiercely into the parking lot. The mustangs engine growled, dying down to a hum as Justin drove a little more slowly through the rows of empty parking spaces. There were a few cars here and there, but apparently no one else had time to go to Walmart. Justin had never really been shopping for food, and now he was supposed to find his way through Walmart.
Bloody hell.
He groaned, exhaling as his door opened and he stepped out. Justin removed his Police sunglasses, looking around the lot with a bemused expression. For once he didn't smell like smoke. He'd put off the habit for at least five hours now. Sure his throat was irritating him, but he was pretty pleased with the achievement. Justin was wearing the Ed Hardy cologne for men, which had recently been given to him as a gift from his sister. He had to admit, he liked it better than the clothes.
Hello Hello I bring you letters from the man you used to know Give in let go To the words that made you feel you weren't alone Now it's funny how we find out Time can solve the mystery but love is only temporary
Hello Hello The smile on your face is just For show Inside you screaming let me go Hello Hello Loneliness doesn't make a sound Till I head back underground
He walked away from his car, casually pointing the remote over his shoulder and locking the black Mustang. In jeans and a red short sleeved shirt, Justin was still looking at his best. His sunglasses were hanging off of his shirt, which was what he did often. Eyeing the automatic doors that made up the entrance, JT couldn't help but take a look at the girl walking towards them. Justin was walking past, and it was obvious that he was looking at her, but he couldn't find it in himself to walk past her. He snagged up the last trolley, spinning it with his hand on the bar and somehow it landed up in front of her. He looked down at the stranger.
How's it.
Justin smiled, deviously so. Typical for him to look so obvious.

Kris jumped, stopping abruptly, staring down at the cart in front of her. "Alright Slick." she said, planting her feet and turning to look at the driver of the cart. She was pleasantly surprised at the handsome figure towering over her. She readjusted her posture to look more welcoming, her features quickly turning from hostile, to facsinated. Her blue eyes were wide behind her Aviator's. She removed the dark sunglasses from her face to get a better look at him, placing them atop her thick hair.
Her eyes looked him over quickly as she responded. "Pretty good... Do I know you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as her eyes found his. She had never seen this guy around. He was awfully foreward... He must be new around here, yet, somehow she had missed the memo. Kris had grown up around here, everyone knew her, and her grandparents. Everyone here knew everyone, and talked about everyone. How had the news about this gorgeous fellow not reached her ears yet?

She stood with her feet braced, as if preparing herself for a fight. Justin watched the stranger. He hadn't been wearing his smile then, but the edges of his lips had tilted up as amusement etched itself across his features. He was one of those guys that would laugh in the face of anyone who tried to stand up to him, unless you caught him on a 'mellow' day, in which case he might have actually apologized. So since it wasn't one of those days, he prepared himself for a good time. Slick? Nice.
Her eyes ran over him quickly and strange enough, once she'd looked at him, she seemed to open up with a little surprise. He stayed the way he was, arms by his sides with his devious smile. He was definitely taking a good look now.
Not yet.
He replied, seeming confident about that fact. He held his hand out to her, which was a strange approach.
Justin Adylin.
Justin gave her his full name, looking her in the eye with his hand in mid-air. He certainly didn't have a very suttle approach, nor did he have a cheesy pick-up line, which he used often just to get a reaction out of the girl.

She bites the inside of her lip, "Kris Irving." she said, offering him a hand. She continued looking him over. "Are you new here?" she asked, still a bit confused.
One hand still hanging in the air, she reaches up to twist hair around her finger as she watches him. She'd talk to her grandparent's tonight, maybe they'd know.
(sorry it's so skimpy)

Kris. He tried to say her name in his mind, but it didn't sound right. Maybe once he'd said it out loud, it would sound better. He shook her hand only once, with a strong grip but careful not to make it too strong. He was used to having the life squeezed out of his hand by men who tried to make themselves look a bit more intimidating. It hurt like a bitch to be honest with those damn bodybuilders. He looked like Captain Stick next to those buffs.
Arrived a few days ago.
He shrugged, watching as she twisted her hair around her finger. Down boy, down. He was lucky he didn't burst out laughing. Justin was cheeky, cocky and adventurous, so expecting him to act like a true gentlemen was going way beyond his normal limit. He'd open car doors, but he didn't act like an English posh.
Banker?
He referred to her outfit, his eyebrows raised a little bit with some kind of expectant look. Yes, no?

"A few days ago? Are you finding your way around town ok?" She asked, matching his grip. Her grandfather always told her that a hand shake was your first impression of someone, and you wanted to come across as strong, never a push over. She held his hand a bit longer than necessary, before pulling back.
"Banker?" she giggled. "No, teacher." she said, looking down at herself. She thought she looked like a teacher when she left for work this morning... But maybe she was wrong. It happened. "I'm not that good with numbers, or money." she said, smiling, biting her lip gently, watching him carefully.

Not hard to get around a town so small.
Justin had spoken with slight bemusement, showing his disliking towards Westin. His sister was adjusting to it but him? Oh no. Not a chance in hell. He was going back to LA first chance he got. Justin was an opportunist, and he did not take well to being held back. To him being here was like locking him up with a basement with absolutely nothing to his name. He felt strangled and closed in - LA was bigger, broader, with more opportunities and lights and women and...everything. He wanted to get in his car and race off back to where he was born and bred, but his loyalty to his sister kept him here. At least that was one good thing about him. Justin was loyal, even if he came across as different. Hell, maybe he had boundaries he didn't know about. Maybe he was capable of all that. One way to find out.
The giggle. And then she bit her lip. Justin couldn't help it but his confidence was kicked up a notch. Well, he'd already taken a good look...like she had probably noticed, and he didn't mind what he saw.
One plus one - that's all you need to know.
He lifted up his arms as if to shrug, putting on an animated expression. Then he nodded towards the cart, crossing his arms over his chest.
Do you always chat up guys over a trolley?
He asked, his sneaky little impish smile swerving onto his lips like it belonged there. He might have been making fun of her, but somehow, he wasn't. He wasn't falling head over heels or getting a little bit too happy downstairs. Justin was just relaxed and easily approachable, with a little city slick in there too. The smile said it all.

She smirked, brushing the hair out of her face. "I do believe it was you who stopped me... I was just minding my own business..." she said, smiling up at him. She didn't mind the little chat, it was a nice change from her usual grocery shopping.
She wasn't a huge flirt, mainly because she knew just about everyone in town, so she was out of practice on the whole, giggle, smile, touch their arm thing. She leaned against her cart, realizing it wouldn't support her too late. The cart was rolling away quickly, and her butt met the pavement even quicker. She let out a little scream, and stared straight ahead.

And you could've told me to mind mine.
He retorted, still smiling that impish smile. The atmosphere was chill, with the both of them getting comfortable in the conversation. Kristina, however, had gotten a little too comfortable. Flat on your ass on the pavement was never, ever, never never never never ever good. Especially like this. Yet, Justin's hand covered his mouth. He had reached out to help her when the sudden commotion had erupted, yet failed to be the knight in shining armour. There was always next time.
Justin stopped the cart, looking back at Kristina who was staring straight ahead. He knelt down beside her on one knee, his hand resting on his thigh. He waved his hand in front of her face with one slow movement then leaning in front of her, unsure of whether or not he should be smiling.
How was your trip?
Typical, typical. Cheesy lines.

Her mouth twisted as she tried not to smile. "Shut up." she said, giving him a shove. So, Kris wasn't the most graceful girl in the world, and she knew it. "You know, the gentlemanly thing, would have been to help me up." she said, standing up, making a face as she brushed off her pants.
She was a little wobbly on her heals, but quickly settled herself, looking around for the run away cart. It hadn't gone far, or he had retreived it, what had happened she wasn't sure. She was obviously embarassed, and the tough girl attitude was just a distraction that did not hide her flushed cheeks.
She decided standing around wasn't her best bet, and turned to look at him. "Shall we continue our conversation inside?" she asked, not wanting to lose her rather attractive company. Maybe she'd even invite him over for dinner, Ashley would sure love that.

She told him to shut up, fueling his amusement but he hadn't expected her to shove him, which sent him back on his back in any case. He leisurely laid on the ground whilst she stood up. Justin looked up at her when she spoke.
The lady-like thing to do would have been not to lean against the trolley in the first place.
He retorted once again, wearing a cheeky smile as he stood up, dusting off his hands. He reached out his hand to her when she wobbled.
At your service madame.
Justin put on the best english accent he could manage, carrying out a small bow. His eyes flicked up to her.
Better?
He then stood with his back straighter, his arms at his sides. Still using his english accent, Justin replied:
Yes madame.
Then he coughed, patting his chest, looking as if he hadn't meant to use the accent. Justin had a good poker face.
Must be something I ate.
With a little shrug he maneuvered himself around Kris, his hand on her waist as he grabbed a basket for the shopping he had to do for his grandmother. He hadn't noticed where his hand had gone until he turned around. Looking slightly sheepish he removed his hand then walked back to where he had been standing, then carried on towards the double sliding doors. Justin still wasn't used to being sent out for errands like this and although he had never been spoilt, he had never really gone grocery shopping. So where did he start? Walking into the fresh, floor-paved store, he eyed it from top to bottom. Why were they always so big?
And let the hunting begin.

She giggled at him, and his goofy accent. "Yea, something you ate." she said, watching him curiously as he put his hand on her waist. "Moving a little quick, aren't we?" she asked, smirking slightly as she followed him with her eyes before walking through the sliding glass doors. She smiled at the greeter, and kept walking towards the food sections, expecting him to follow.
"Haven't you ever been in a Walmart?" she asked, laughing at the look on his face. Bewildered seemed about right. "It's just a big grocery store." she said, stopping in her tracks, turning to look at him. "Would you like some help?" she tilted her head to the side, a playful smile on her lips.

Justin eyed her, whispering behind his hand.
You're supposed to act like it never happened.
He put his finger to his lips, smiling and then heading through the sliding doors. He eyed the greeter.
How's it.
He looked over his shoulder at Kris, rubbing the back of his neck.
Yeah, and I bet the boogeyman's hiding around the corner.
Then at her offer to help him he started edging towards her, avoiding a display of a new energy drink. Justin had a cheeky smile on his face, despite his predicament.
You're enjoying this, aren't you?
He said, shaking his head and giving in.
Enjoy my shame. I need help.
He laughed, raising his hands because it was all he could do.

She laughed at him, and took his arm, leading him towards the vegetables. This would be fun. "Well, what do you need?" she asked, looking up at his handsome features. She was sure some talk of this would end up back at home, and surely start an arguement between she and Ashley, but what did it matter? She was a big girl, and could take care of herself. If she wanted to help a gorgeous stranger find his way around Walmart, she would. She felt a bit of a physical attraction towards this fellow, and couldn't help but stand closer to him. She hadn't dated in a while, the men of Westin not interesting her anymore, and it was nice to be close to someone, even if she was just towing him around.
