((OOC: Sorry for posting so late!))
Matti blushed a little when the man held the door open for her. Gentlemen were a rare find in today's world, and it was nice to see chivalry wasn't completely dead. Still, it would have been nice to know the name of her saviour, the 'knight in shining armor', so to speak, saving her from the ravages of the street. "Thank you," she said quietly, fiddling with the ends of her blonde hair.
The diner was a strange place. Sonny and Cher played on a Juke box, pictures of famous stars of the day were hanging on the walls, and the diner's interior looked like it had jumped straight out of Grease. People were even attempting to dance; some were really good, too.
Walking over to an empty booth, Matti sat down, avoiding the curious stares and whispers of the crowd. A thin, dirty, unknown girl walking into a busy diner with one of the local's was bound to cause a stir. Sitting down, Matilda waited silently for her escort to seat himself.

Word Count: 316 For: Matilda Clark Status: Complete Lyrics: Hound Dog by Elvis Notes: No prob. ^.^ Funny thing about Justin's phone is that I got it like two weeks after I decided it was his phone. xD
Justin had followed the girl into the diner, not bothering to look around at all the decorations pinned or hanging on the wall. He had come in before for lunch with his sister but that was about it. Everywhere he went in this town, he thought of his sister. He felt guilty for hating this place so damn much when his sister loved it to bits. Justin looked up at a group of waitresses. There were a few people sitting in booths and at the tables but the atmosphere was very relaxed. Not like anywhere had somewhere they needed to be fast. The town was so small that you got it in your car, drove forwards a few centimeters and you were at your destination. At least that was Justin's perspective. He winked at one of the waitresses, wearing his lopsided smile. The girl looked away, fiddling with menus and looking a little flushed. Justin on the other hand, carried on smiling and took his seat opposite his companion in the booth.
You aint nothin but a hound dog Cryin all the time. You aint nothin but a hound dog Cryin all the time. Well, you aint never caught a rabbit And you aint no friend of mine.
When they said you was high classed, Well, that was just a lie. When they said you was high classed, Well, that was just a lie. You aint never caught a rabbit And you aint no friend of mine.
He settled down in the booth, leaning forwards with his elbows on the table, his hands laced together.
Order anything you'd like. My treat. Justin said, smiling then pulling out his buzzing Nokia 5310i. The Xpress music phone had metallic red around its edges and on its back. Sorry, hold on a sec.He answered the call, hearing his sister, Raine's, voice on the other end. Hey sis. Yeah, I know. I got caught up with someone. Yes, someone. Why're you such a nosey girl? You are.Justin laughed, flicking his eyes up at the stranger opposite him. I'll do 'em next time. I promise, Rai. Yes ma'am. Sharp. Thanks. Bye.He ended the call then slid his phone back in his pocket. Sorry. I'm supposed to be grocery shopping. He chuckled, shaking his head and looking up as a waitress approached the table.[/blockquote]
